Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

This page is maintained by Village Reacts to explain how we handle data in the Village Reacts app.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If you choose to connect a YouTube account, we receive access — limited to the scopes you authorize — to manage the playlists you grant. We also store the reaction requests and submissions you create in the app.

How we use your information

We use this information to authenticate you, operate the reaction request flow, and manage the YouTube playlists you have connected. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Village Reacts relies on Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API, Cloudflare for hosting, Supabase for database and authentication, and Discord for outbound notification webhooks. Your use of YouTube features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Data retention and deletion

Your account, profile, and submissions are retained until you ask us to delete them. YouTube OAuth tokens are removed when you disconnect your YouTube account.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us at the address below.

Children

Village Reacts is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
